FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How does the sharpening service work?
You can schedule a sharpening appointment online using the “schedule a service” button, or call us. When you drop off your equipment, we inspect it for wear and defects. We then carefully clean and sharpen it. A minimal amount of metal is removed to restore edge quality and prolong blade life. We keep track of service dates to help you determine when your blade should be replaced. We’ll notify you when your sharpened equipment is ready for pick-up – typically within a day or two.
What types of blades do you sharpen?
We sharpen shears and scissors, barber clippers, most knives, axes and hatchets, lawn mower blades, and most woodworking tools.
We can also repair shears and scissors. While we can eliminate imperfections on blades, we do not restore broken blades at this time.
Do you ship my equipment to be sharpened?
No, we do not ship your equipment anywhere. We sharpen everything right here in our shop in Weston.
How long does it take to sharpen my knives or shears?
It depends on how busy we are. Usually, you will be able to pick up your equipment the same day or next day.
Can I wait while you sharpen my stuff?
Because we work on a first come, first served basis, you will have to drop your items off and come back to pick them up, but we always do our best to accommodate our customers whenever possible.
